State Grid Corporation of China releases 20 new power system demonstration benchmarks

Recently, State Grid Corporation of China issued a notice to release a list of new power system demonstration benchmarks and a collection of typical cases, including 10 system demonstration benchmarks and 10 project demonstration benchmarks.
In order to implement the major strategic deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on carbon peak and carbon neutrality, building a new power system, and implement the "Action Plan for Accelerating the Construction of a New Power System (2024-2027)", and summarize and promote the experience of demonstration construction, the company organized and carried out the selection of new power system demonstration benchmarks.
This selection is open to 6 branches and 27 provincial power companies in the company's operating area, covering all aspects of the new power system source, network, load, storage, system and mechanism. The typical cases of demonstration benchmarks are divided into system and project categories. Among them, the system category focuses on new power systems at the city, county, park (village and town) level, and the project category focuses on but is not limited to the improvement of power supply guarantee capabilities, high-quality development and utilization of new energy, innovation of new power grid technology, improvement of flexible adjustment capabilities on the user side, and comprehensive innovation of system and mechanism technology.
After material application, formal review, preliminary selection, meeting review and online announcement, the company has identified 20 new power system demonstration benchmarks. The selected cases have strong practicality, innovation and scalability in terms of theoretical methods, technical equipment, operation mode and system mechanism, and have achieved significant results in actual operation, and have strong demonstration and promotion value for similar scenarios.
